Beeple and the pop legend collaborate to create an NFT.
Madonna and NFT artist Beeple have collaborated on the Mother of Creation NFT project, which features a tree growing out of Madonna’s vagina. Of course, it’s shocking and odd, but it’s in keeping with Madonna’s reputation as a provocateur. We do believe, however, that she misunderstood this NFT.
The ingredients are in place for something spectacular; Beeple is responsible for the smash hit NFT Everydays: the First 5000 Days, which established a new record for NFT sales and kicked off everything, and Madonna is… Madonna. Non-fungible tokens are a means to create scarcity by registering digital files on the blockchain. To learn more, read our free NFT tips guide and recommendations on how to construct an NFT.
The collaboration between Madonna and Beeple is a trio of rendered digital videos titled Mother of Nature, Mother of Evolution, and Mother of Technology, each of which is quite graphic. A digital Madonna gives birth to a tree in one, butterflies flee her vaginal opening in another, and a mechanical centipede escapes her lady garden in the third. It’s hard for me to believe I’m typing this.

Even worse (really?!?) is that Madonna’s vagina is depicted more realistically than her face, which is stiff as plastic. This is reportedly Madonna’s Vajayjay, which has been scanned and sculpted. There’s a message somewhere in here, but we’re looking for it like a vaginal escapee.
Of course, there’s a reason: “I wanted to study the concept of creation, not only the way a kid enters the world through a woman’s vagina, but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity,” Madonna says in a press statement.
On the exclusive NFT marketplace SuperRare, the three NFT video artworks will be auctioned off today. Madonna’s rendered eco-vagina has a purpose, since earnings will be donated to three separate charities. The Voices of Children Foundation, which assists women in Ukraine, The City of Joy, a leadership programme for women in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, and Black Mama’s Bail Out, which provides funding to bail out black mothers and caregivers from prison, will all be recipients.
Okay, we’re being cruel, and it’s difficult to be offended by an NFT effort that wants to do so much good. Like many of Madonna’s efforts, this Beeple NFT cooperation catches our attention for all the wrong reasons in order to achieve something very right — donate to vital causes.

We’ve known for a while that the future of NFTs could be with projects that have a purpose, as we discussed in our NFT art and the future of NFTs with Bilali Mack, and speculation of an NFT crash also shows a bright future for projects that have a purpose, whether it’s making video games and films or raising money for good causes.
